The Recovery Academy, a leading program for men with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders, has joined forces with Augsburg University’s StepUP Program, the renowned collegiate recovery program, to offer a transformative journey for sustained recovery and personal growth through the support of our expert staff and a community of like-minded peers.
The Recovery Academy
The Recovery Academy: Since 2017, The Recovery Academy located in St. Paul, MN has been the national leader in long-term, transitional care for men with substance use mental health disorders and co-occurring. With an all-inclusive, yet highly tailored approach, each resident is slowly transitioned from the care and support they need to a life of independence.
- Gradual Transition to Independence: Our program ensures a smooth step-down process, allowing individuals to gradually gain independence while receiving the necessary oversight and care during their recovery journey.

Augsburg University’s StepUP Program
Since 1997, StepUP has been helping students thrive in recovery while succeeding in college. StepUP is a unique, innovative, and robust collegiate recovery program offering full-time, on-site addiction counselors, an engaged community of support and accountability, and on-campus recovery residences.
